The Reivers, holding the top rank in the NJCAA Division I Football ranks during the final three weeks of the regular season, improved to 10-0 Saturday, and look to finish the fall campaign with an unblemished record. Historically in postseason play, Iowa Western averages 36.4 points per game, paired with 371.8 yards. The program's last and lone championship title came in 2012 over Butler (KS).

No. 2 New Mexico Military came out victorious and made history in its 49-30 win against No. 3 Northwest Mississippi. The Broncos are 11-1 heading into the NJCAA Division I National Championship for the first time in program history and look to capture their first championship title. New Mexico Military leads the nation in rushing with 3,494 yards and scoring with 495. Never playing in a football championship until now, the undefeated 1958 Bronco team came close, finishing atop the rankings as the No. 1 team in the country.
